Deep in the South Coast of Sri Lanka is the town of Tangalle. Located approximately 2.5 – 3hrs from Colombo, it has one of the most scenic seascapes in Sri Lanka, with wide golden sandy beaches and turquoise blue waters.
Nestled along Tangalle Bay is Kayaam House, the epitome of simplistic style, with wide open spaces, a serene setting tastefully designed rooms and living spaces. The first impression you get as you walk in is its calming ambience. It is the idyllic setting for rest and relaxation, from its living spaces to the beautifully manicured lawn lined with coconut trees.
This small luxury villa boasts 8 rooms and a residence. Its beautiful tropical garden is adorned with a sparkling blue pool and the breathtaking ocean beyond. It offers a holistic approach to wellness teamed with the ancient method of Ayurveda— a time to relax and rejuvenate your mind, body and soul.
Wellness
The Ayurveda centre offers Holistic Therapy, Yoga and Meditation. Therapies include Ayurveda Immersion therapy, heal and balance, detox and cleanse, remedy and restoration, renew and revitalise and weight loss therapies.
Rooms
The Villa offers its guests a choice of 6 Rooms, 1 Suite and 1 Residence. Each with its own character and view. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms. Kayaam House accepts children 16 and over only.
Garden Terrace Room
the rooms face West and have a view of the tropical garden area and the infinity pool. A private terrace with seating offers direct access to the garden and pool. The garden terrace rooms have the option of a room with a king-sized bed or twin beds. It can also accommodate an extra roll-a-bed should you wish to triple up.
Ocean Room
Facing West with a view of the tropical garden area, the infinity pool and the ocean, these rooms also boast a private terrace/balcony with outdoor seating. It has a minibar and espresso machine in room as well.
Palm View Room
with a view of the Coconut palm-lined landscape, these expansive rooms offer king-sized beds, a private living area, a large outdoor terrace, minibar and espresso machine in room.
Palm View Suite with Jacuzzi
the suite offers an uninterrupted view of the garden and its surrounding landscape, king-sized bed, private living area, oversized outdoor terrace with a heated jacuzzi, a private garden, mini bar and espresso machine.
Palm View Residence
the residence boasts its own private garden, a spacious king bedroom and a living room. It also boasts a loft that can accommodate up to 4 children. It offers a private jacuzzi, minibar and espresso machine as well.
Dining
The dining area and bar at Kayaam house are quite unique and are inspired by the famed Sri Lankan architect Geoffrey Bawa. Enjoy dining with sunlight streaming in like little golden rays from its artfully designed dining room or dine by candlelight on the beach, whatever floats your fancy. The enu offers an a la carte menu, a personalised menu or an ayurvedic diet prepared by the in-house Ayurvedic doctor. All meals are prepared with the freshest available produce.
